My Favorites: Vintage Travel Trailers
Over the summer I decided that I must have a vintage trailer to restore. I did a lot of searching and eventually found one which I am in the process of fixing up. This seems strange to those I happen to tell. But what they have not seen are these beauties.

Cute Things: Dresses
I live in dresses so I'm always on the lookout for cute ones. Here are a few of my favorites from here.
Pretty Hair
This 1920's hairstyle video is so cute and the end result is darling. Someday, when I wake up more than 10 minutes before I have to leave for work I will do this. Grant my words.

Music Du Jour: Mindy Gledhill
If I could estimate how many times I have listened to this song the past couple weeks I would say about fourteen million thousand. Hundred.
Bangs
I woke up today and my bangs looked like this

I slapped some bobby pins in to just hold them back but hot-dang! They are not being very submissive to my will. I am holding myself back from forcing them down with a little spit glue. But, since hygiene is important to me I think I will just avoid mirrors and pretend nothing is going on up there.

These guys are good. They have a little Vampire Weekend vibe with a very beachy feel. Have a listen.

Christmas Baking Marathon 2010
This year I decided that it would be fun to bake up a bunch of treats and package them up prettily for people at work. For the last month I have been scouring the internet for delicious looking baked goods to give. I narrowed it down to four different kinds of treats.
Homemade Samoas
Chocolate Dipped Ritz Crackers
Crisp Salted Oatmeal White Chocolate Cookies
Aunt Jane's Sugar Cookies (with this frosting)
Ingredients:
I went grocery shopping after work (which was crazy since everyone was out doing last minute Christmas shopping) but kept forgetting things so ended up going to the grocery store 3 times (!!!) not my favorite.
I baked ALL night long. I baked until I thought I would collapse in a heap of flour covered exhaustion. I finished baking and packaging around 4 am and then spent another couple hours cleaning up the disaster that I left in my wake. All in all it went well though. Everything looked and tasted good (I think) and people seemed to like them.
I honestly never want to see another cookie again in my life though and I was kind of grossed out all day as I watched people eat them but that's probably a good thing ;)
Here's how everything ended up....

Ingredients:
4 Cups Flour 1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 Cup Margarine 1 ½ Cup Sugar
2 Eggs 1 tsp. Soda
1/3 Cup Milk ½ tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Vanilla
Mix flour, baking powder, salt and margarine as for pie crust. In another bowl add the soda to the sugar and when blended add the beaten eggs, milk and vanilla. Roll out on a floured board and cut into desired shapes.
Bake in oven at 375* for 12 to 15 minutes.

Cute Things: Glasses
I am pretty sure I need glasses but pretty much in denial. Finding these cute ones though makes me actually want a pair.

A Short Story
There once was a girl who decided to make cookies. Before making cookies she went to the grocery store and somewhere along the way lost her shopping list (which she had painstakingly written down even though she hates making shopping lists). She shopped thinking that she had gotten every single thing but indeed she did not. The girl went back to the store. When she got home the girl realized that, against all odds, she had forgotten more things.
Once again the girl braved the cold dark world to venture out and buy ALL needed things for baking so many freaking cookies. Making cookies did not seem like a good idea anymore. The End

Pretty Things: Textile Patterns
If there is one thing I know about myself it is that I love pretty patterns. As long as I remember I have loved doodling them whenever I have a pen, paper and free time (or not). Here is some pretty patterned fabric I found here which makes me really happy.

I don't understand pepper. Why do people put it on things when they have salt? It makes no sense.

A Short Story
There once was a girl who wore her iPod shuffle clipped on her shirt at the gym. Later this girl washed the shirt and still attached was her iPod shuffle. This was tragic. The iPod would play music no more. However maybe not all was lost - the earphones still worked perhaps?? Yes! The earphones could be saved. She wore the earphones hooked to the treadmill sometimes later. They seemed to work just fine and the girl was happy. Until they started giving her periodic, mild electric shocks. Not one to buy earphones at the drop of a hat, the girl continues to use them still. The end.

Miscellaneous Things of Note
Billshrink.com - this site is awesome! It helps you find better rates on your cell phone, savings account, credit cards, gas stations and television service. And it's really easy to use. And I give it two thumbs up.

Recipes I want to try
I have been stumbling across some Israeli recipes that I want to try. I dont think I have ever had Israeli food but it looks yum.
I bet this salad would be good during the summertime
I have never heard of this but it seems pretty easy, looks good & would be relatively healthy.
